February 2nd is Time to Talk Day.
The day takes place every year, run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness, and encourages friends, families, communities and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives.
We’re pleased to have expanded our team and would like to introduce Kevin, our new Head of IT. With a background in IT, Kevin has previously worked for local authorities in Oxfordshire, Shropshire, and Staffordshire, and we’re certain he will make an excellent addition to the Shropdoc team.
As we welcome another new year, we also welcome another new member of the team at Shropdoc with Melissa Bowdler joining the organisation as Finance Manager.
Our Shropdoc Shufflers are stepping into 2023 with a monthly commitment of long and short walks as a way of encouraging our staff to stay healthy.
People across Shropshire came together to ski with all their might as part of a 24-hour fundraiser raising money for the Anthony Nolan Trust, organised by our Urgent Care Practitioner Sian Wood.
As a health provider that provides support for people across Shropshire and Mid Wales we are dedicated to finding ways to engage and connect with our communities.
As part of this, we have launched the CHECK campaign urging everyone to check on their neighbours and community to ensure a support network - especially for those living in rural areas.
NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
