Every patient deserves to feel safe when accessing healthcare. Patient safety is not simply about avoiding mistakes. It is about creating a culture where people are listened to, information is communicated clearly, concerns are recognised and acted upon and care is continually improved.
On Thursday 17th September, World Patient Safety Day brings patients, families, healthcare professionals and organisations together to raise awareness of the importance of reducing avoidable harm and improving the safety and quality of healthcare.
