Shropdoc has primary care centres located around Powys. Our Primary Care Centres are mostly located within a hospital and they are open at varying times.

Patients can only be seen where they have been given a booked appointment time.

They are NOT walk-in centres.

Call 111 for urgent medical attention that will not wait until your own surgery is next open.

Approaching Brecon on the A470 from Builth Wells:

  1. Follow the By-pass to the first roundabout then turn right onto the B4601.
  2. Continue on the B4601straight on at the first mini roundabout into the Watton, turn right the second mini roundabout into Heol Gouesnou, straight across the next mini roundabout.
  3. Turn right at lights into Cerrigochion Road, the hospital is about 300metres on your right.
  4. On entering Hospital grounds, bear right to visitors parking (What3Words-chicken.profited.painted), additional disabled parking is available to the left, next to main entrance (What3Words-flocking.koala.loved)
  5. Accessible access. When reception is closed, please use intercom for entry.

Directions

  1. Coming from the north enter Llandrindod on the A483 and the hospital is on your left-hand side, before you reach the town centre or railway station.
  2. Coming from the south enter Llandrindod on the A483 and the hospital is on your right-hand side, just after you reach the town centre & railway station.
  3. As you turn into the Hospital grounds, bear right & parking is at the rear right of the hospital to your right. (What3Words – cycles.tricycle.conned)
  4. Follow the pathway opposite the carpark, towards MIU entrance. As you reach the door on your left, press option 2 on intercom for entry to Shropdoc. (What3Words – approvals.objective.toffee)

Directions

  1. Follow Pool Rd until main traffic lights (by McDonalds)
  2. Turn right into Cambrian Road & follow round until wide T-junction with Llanfair Rd opposite church.
  3. Turn right into Llanfair Rd.
  4. Take fourth turning left into Bryn Lane.

  6. Park available outside entrance, additional parking signposted to the left of Outpatients.

Approaching Welshpool from Oswestry A483 (Welshpool Bypass):

  1. Turn right for Welshpool onto Salop Road
  2. Turn right onto Gungrog Road. The Hospital is situated on the left-hand side.
  3. Approaching from A458 from Machynlleth:
  4. Continue straight on at roundabout into Brook Street, which becomes Union Street.
  5. At T Junction turn left into Church Street, becomes Salop Road. Then turn left into Gungrog Road. The Hospital is on the left hand side

Approaching from Newtown on A483:

  1. Continue on Bypass to second Roundabout.
  2. Take Second left into Smithfield Road, becomes Mill Lane.
  3. At T Junction turn right onto Salop Road.
  4. Turn Left into Gungrog Road. Hospital is on Left-hand side

To access Shropdoc please go to main hospital entrance located on the top Right-hand side:

  1. If main doors are locked, use Shropdoc intercom to gain access.
  2. Shropdoc area is located downstairs please follow signs once inside hospital. Lift is available.
