Shropdoc has primary care centres located around Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and Powys. Our Primary Care Centres are mostly located within a hospital and they are open at varying times.

Patients can only be seen where they have been given a booked appointment time.

They are NOT walk-in centres.

Approaching Brecon on the A470 from Builth Wells:

  1. Follow the By-pass to the first roundabout then turn right onto the B4601.
  2. Continue on the B4601 past mini roundabout, turn right into Free Street.
  3. Straight on at traffic lights into Cerrigcochion Road, the hospital is on the right.
  4. On entering Hospital grounds, bare right to visitors parking (What3Words-chicken.profited.painted), additional disabled parking is available to the left, next to main entrance (What3Words-flocking.koala.loved)
  5. Accessible access. When reception is closed, please use intercom for entry.

Directions

  1. Coming from the north enter Llandrindod on the A483 and the hospital is on your left-hand side, before you reach the town centre or railway station.
  2. Coming from the south enter Llandrindod on the A483 and the hospital is on your right-hand side, just after you reach the town centre & railway station.
  3. As you turn into the Hospital grounds, bear right & parking is at the rear right of the hospital to your right. (What3Words – cycles.tricycle.conned)
  4. Follow the pathway opposite the carpark, towards MIU entrance. As you reach the door on your left, press option 2 on intercom for entry to Shropdoc. (What3Words – approvals.objective.toffee)

Directions

  1. Access to Shropdoc is via New Road Bank entrance following signs for MIU.
  2. On entry, bear left to drop off point and a small amount of disabled parking to the right as you approach the MIU entrance (What3Words-scrub.texts.streamers).
  3. Additional parking is available by taking an immediate right as you enter via the New Road Bank entrance (What3Words-domain.rigs.shaver). Please note there is a steep include to come from the lower car park to the MIU entrance.
  4. Entrance is wheelchair accessible.
  5. At MIU entrance (What3Words-extent.moss.steams), please look for the “Shropdoc” signs and ring the doorbell for assisted access.

  1. Follow Pool Rd until main traffic lights (by McDonalds)
  2. Turn right into Cambrian Road & follow round until wide T-junction with Llanfair Rd opposite church.
  3. Turn right into Llanfair Rd.
  4. Take fourth turning left into Bryn Lane.
  5. Casualty entrance 75 yards on Right.
  6. Park in emergency Doctors space outside casualty door.

  1. Follow signs for ‘Royal Shrewsbury Hospital’
  2. From Mytton Oak Road, enter the hospital site via the main public and visitor entrance
  3. After 50 yards, take an immediate left into a small car park/drop off point, signposted for ‘Eye Department’.(What3Words-neon.bashed.yelled). Alternative patient parking bays are available along the entry road on the right (What3Words-fail.chase.leathers). Car parking charges will apply to all areas.
  4. Pedestrian access is along the right of the small car park through a covered walkway to the Shropdoc entrance (What3Words-porridge.monkeys.broken).
  5. Entrance is step free and wheelchair accessible with railings.
  6. At glass entrance door, please press the bell for access.

  1. A49 > A5 > M54 > To junction 6, signposted “Hospital”

  4. Slight ramped decent to entrance door, please press intercom for access.
