About us

We are a not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee. Established in 1996, Shropdoc was originally organised and governed by GPs to provide medically necessary care to the population of Shropshire and surrounding counties out-of-hours (OOH) on behalf of its members.

The organisation has since evolved and now focuses on providing care across Powys and to patients receiving Oncology and Haematology treatment under the care of the Royal Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals, and across Lancashire. Our Organisation brings together a dedicated group of GP members, supported by a committed team who work across many different roles, including Management, Business Intelligence, Clinical, Driving, Call Handling and Administration, to provide care and support for patients and communities.
