Working for Shropdoc, Verity Oloro

Verity Oloro is a General Practitioner at Presteigne Medical Centre.

Staff and patients at the medical centre were welcomed into the Shropdoc family in July as we proudly expanded our presence in the county.

We have been providing quality healthcare to the communities of Powys for more than 20 years and now provide primary medical services for the patients of Presteigne Medical Centre.

Verity completed her GP training at the surgery almost 10 years ago and enjoys working within a dedicated, close knit team. 

She says: “Despite the pressures primary care faces, we all pull together, adapt and strive to provide patient centred care.  

“Over the years, I've had the privilege of getting to know patients and their families. An understanding of a person's health within their social context is a key part of my role and very rewarding.”

Verity says no two days are the same in her role…

“I usually start with an early catch up with my colleagues before the doors open,” she adds. “From newborns to centenarians, minor injuries to medical emergencies - there's never a dull moment.

“I'm excited to see where Shropdoc takes the practice.”
