Shropdoc induction day for new starters

The first of the new Corporate Shropdoc Induction days took place in Shrewsbury this Summer.

New starters were welcomed to the beautiful setting of The Trinity Centre, Meole Brace, for the induction on July 5th, 2022 - the first event of many for new Shropdoc employees.

Kayleigh Davies, Head of HR, tells us a little more about the day…

“The induction day allowed our new starters, all of whom were Urgent Care Practitioners, to meet each other and key members of the Clinical and Executive Management Teams. 

“Short presentations were prepared by the guest speakers, which allowed our new colleagues to learn more about Shropdoc and their roles prior to starting with the organisation. 

“It was a brilliantly informative and social event, and I am so pleased to report that a great time was had by all who attended. During the break-out periods, we were joined by current staff members who were able to tell our new colleagues more about the different roles we have and what they enjoy about being at Shropdoc.”

“This was the first Corporate Induction day to take place post-COVID lockdowns and with great success. In line with our values, it is truly vital that all new colleagues are welcomed to the organisation and are able during their induction period to meet other colleagues, and learn more about the business and the great work that we do. 

“I am very pleased to announce that we have the next Corporate Induction day booked for October to welcome more new colleagues to the organisation after a very successful period of recruitment. 

“I would like to extend a special thanks to all our guest speakers and to Kathy Wood and Rebecca Tanswell for helping organise the day and making sure that everything ran smoothly.”
