Meet Kevin, our new Head of IT!

We’re pleased to have expanded our team and would like to introduce Kevin, our new Head of IT.

With a background in IT, Kevin has previously worked for local authorities in Oxfordshire, Shropshire, and Staffordshire, and we’re certain he will make an excellent addition to the Shropdoc team.

Resilience, agility, and scalability

Starting his working life as a technician for a Welsh NHS organisation, Kevin has had several IT related roles in both the private and public sector leading to the management of multi-skilled IT teams in local authorities and within this role, he was involved in driving both national and local projects across a broad range of IT functions.  

Louise Biffin, Director of Finance and IT, said: “Kevin will bring additional strength to the team by helping to shape its future development as we embark on an exciting journey of change to deliver the three pillars that our IT strategy is built around - resilience, agility and scalability. 

“He is bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge, having worked in local Government as the IT lead for many years. His experience in the public sector demonstrates he has delivered IT services for medium to large organisations, particularly managing teams with a wide ranging skill set that deliver a hybrid of services of on-site, cloud and outsourced solutions.”

High quality IT services

Kevin will be supporting Louise Biffin, our Director of Finance and IT, in the delivery of the IT strategy to support Shropdoc’s delivery of its portfolio of Primary and Urgent Care services across England and Wales.

“I am really happy to be joining the Shropdoc team and excited for the new challenges ahead of me,” said Kevin.

“I’m passionate about supporting the delivery of high-quality IT services to the public sector and believe that IT should enable an organisation to deliver the highest quality services in a timely and effective manner. 

“The thing I’m most looking forward to in this role is helping Shropdoc deliver the resilience, agility and scalability pillars that form its IT strategy and support the delivery of a high standard of health care to each and every individual."
